Dedicated to the memory of Morann Donald

This site is a tribute to our mum, Morann Donald who passed away peacefully at Summerlee House, Coatbridge.

Originally from Arasaig, mum went to school in Fort William and then onto The Queens college “Dough School”.  Her parents moved to Oban along with her aunt to run St Anne’s Guest House.  They took in a lodger called Norman and the rest is history!

Mum and dad, Norman, married on 5th November 1960 and were blessed with four lovely children, Eileen, Norma, Peter and Claire.  In 1972 Mum took over the running of St Anne’s Guest House until she finally retired in 2004.

Mum loved to play golf, socialise with all her friends, bake, make jams and marmalade, travelling the globe on holiday but most importantly she loved being around her family.  She was at her happiest when we all got together.  When the grandchildren came along, Katie, Scott, Liam, Gemma and Amy, she delighted in helping us out and spending time with them.

Mum had a very strong faith and was an active member in St Columba’s Cathedral in Oban and even though mum left Oban in January 2022 to be closer to family due to her ill health, her faith continued to help her through difficult times.

Now I’m glad to say her resting place is Oban, along with our dad. She is very much loved and will always be remembered.
